What is TransParentDay?

TransParentDay is a day to celebrate being a parent without concern of the stereotypes of gender. So whether you are MtF for FtM this is a day for you the parent to be celebrated with your children.

Greetings All!

Erica and I are not letting any grass grow under our feet this year.  And we are working hard to get the word out about TransParentDay.  We both attended the IFGE Capital Conference in Washington DC this past April, wristbands in hand.  Erica will be at the Minnesota Trans Health and Wellness Fair this coming weekend (5/15).  And we both will be at Be-All in Chicago in the first week in June.

I ordered 1000 new bracelets and they need places to live!

You too can help spread the word.  Wear your bracelets, talk to other people and family members about TransParentDay and what it means to you!

Sharon

TransParentDay.org got off to an awesome start this past week at SCC.  We distributed several hundred wristbands to the community and recieved positive endorsement from all.  Donna Rose even blogged about us!  We will not speak for anybody else, they can do that themselves, but keep your eyes out for folks with the "TPD" wristbands!  Looks like that little guy will be celebrating this November!

TransParentDay.org gave a short blurb to listeners of Monica Canfield-Lenfest presentation at the Southern Comfort Conference held in Atlanta, GA.  Monica heads the Kids Of Trans (KOT) program of Colage.  Take note of that wristband!

Greetings All, and welcome to the launch of TransParentDay.org.

We hope you will embrace and celebrate TransParentDay which this year is November 1st.

Erica and Sharon will be at the Southern Comfort Conference in Atlanta promoting TransParentDay by handing out our pink/white/blue bracelets to any Trans parent who is out to their kids or is thinking of being out.  Of course if you are the child of a trans person you can sport on too.  Hunt us down we are bringing about 300 of those wristbands to Atlanta.

See you soon.
